Registration of a Non-Profit Organization for Fundraising

This is a 3-step process:

Step 1: Pre-registration by a volunteer requires 1-2 minutes and is non-binding on the organization. (Benefit: This holds an opening for 7 days.)

Step 2: The organization's Treasurer or another authorized person should complete the contact information within 7 days. The 'hold' continues but is still non-binding on the non-profit. (Benefit: This extends the 'hold' from 7 days to 30 days so that Boards of Directors may address individual concerns over the program.)

Step 3: Board approval is highly recommended although Executive Directors will sometimes make the call. We require evidence that an organization is designated 501(c)3 by the Internal Revenue Service.

By registering for fundraising in this program, non-profit organizations grant us the right to publish their name online as a recipient organization.
Local businesses will be presented with up to three such organizations to choose from when they sign up for business services.
Three types of business advertising services are illustrated below; products available also include job ads. See faq_products for details.

On completion of steps 1-3:

We will list the organization for fundraising in its first chosen zip code.
After one sale, the organization may start the same process to include nearby zip codes.
An organization may withdraw at any time and make room for other organizations.
